Dennis M. Lawler

Dennis M. Lawler graduated from Iowa State University in 1968 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, served two years of active duty in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, and went on to build a nearly 40-year career in the energy industry. He held executive positions in finance, HR, and business development across regulated utilities, bulk energy marketing and trading, and the pipeline industry.

After retiring in 2005 and earning an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Dennis turned his deep industry knowledge and life experience into writing. His six books span fiction, memoir, biography, and practical non-fiction—each one grounded in the real world.
